Description

The Goodman GSH130301 is a condenser with heat pump for a split system air conditioner. This outdoor component needs to be connected with an indoor air handler or evaporator coil to create a complete air conditioning system. This allows for many options for personalizing an HVAC system, which can be altered depending on desired energy-efficiency, cost, installation type and number of cooling zones.

This model is capable of a 13 SEER efficiency when paired with the correct components. Specific cooling ratings will depend in the indoor air handler or furnace used. This 2.5 ton Goodman condenser features 28,000 BTU cooling and 26,800 BTU heating capacities. It's usually recommended that the tonnage of the outdoor condenser be less than the indoor unit.

The DSXC16 line of split system air conditioners uses the R-22 refrigerant for cooling. It comes shipped with inert gas and must be charged by an HVAC professional. The energy-efficient compressor of this model uses a quiet condenser fan system for minimal decibel levels. It's surrounded by a heavy-gauge, galvanized-steel cabinet with rust-resistant screws protected by a powder-paint finish. It offers a factory-installed bi-flow liquid line filter drier. Maintenance is easy, as well, as this model features service valves with sweat connections and easy-access gauge ports and single-panel access to controls with space provided for field-installed accessories.
